for transparency's sake

Meadow Midwifery is an unapologetically queer-friendly, anti-racist practice.

At the heart of my midwifery practice is this simple truth - every body, every identity, every family deserves compassionate, evidence-based care. I hold space for birthing people across the full spectrum of gender, sexuality, race, ability, and experience—because love is love, birth is sacred, and everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for with dignity.

I believe in radical veracity, trauma-informed care, and the power of informed choice. I recognize the privileges I carry, and I attempt to use them in the battle for equity in birth and beyond—especially in the thick of the Black maternal health crisis and the mangled knots of racism woven into the fabric of reproductive care.

Bodily autonomy is non-negotiable. Full. Stop. For every person. Always.
I fervidly believe that every family has the right to expand their family how and when they desire. For those who may need to hear this: you cannot be pro-medical freedom and anti-choice. Abortion *is* healthcare. Don't forget, if you don't agree with abortion, feel free to abstain. But it's important to remember that many options available to families for birth are fundamentally disagreed upon. Reproductive freedom includes planned cesarean birth, planned home birth with a midwife, all the way through planned unassisted births and should continue to include access to abortion care as well.

If you’re looking for a midwife who will stand beside you—not above you—and who believes that activism and compassion belong in every room, you’re in the right place. I believe everyone deserves a midwife. Sometimes that means, that I may not be the perfect midwife for you. AND THAT'S OKAY! But it's important to me that if you *do* hire me, you understand who I am as a human. I fiercely believe in transparency, but often times potential clients don't think to ask or maybe don't feel comfortable, therefore I'm pouring my heart out preemptively so you know exactly who I am!
